Todd was born in Sioux Falls and raised in Aberdeen S.D. What started off as riding his bicycle to Lakeland Nurseries as a high school summer job quickly became a full-time career.
The part-time job on a landscape crew continued all while attending Northern State College. At 19 years old, he began to design landscapes and explore the creative side of landscaping. In the late 70’s Todd married and transferred to Sioux Falls, where he then became a full-time landscape designer. Always excited to explore new landscaping trends, Todd has been an innovative leader in new landscape ideas, winning dozens of SDNLA Landscaping Awards. As Lakeland Nurseries changed its name to Landscape Garden Centers in the 80’s, a modern era of landscaping unfolded. Many more landscaping options became available for his clients including: water features, outdoor kitchens, ever-evolving hardscape products, and new plant hybrids.
Todd is always looking for a new design challenge. His passion is listening to his clients’ needs and fulfilling their dreams. Designing a landscape project and personally being involved with a design from start to finish is his greatest satisfaction, along with the pleasure his clients receive from their completed projects and friendships that linger for many years.
Todd is married to Brenda and has one daughter, Brandi. His off-work interests include gardening, hunting, skiing, and traveling with friends to enjoy good food and music concerts.

Jeremy Reiser started with Landscape Garden Centers in 2007, after graduating from South Dakota State University with a BS in Landscape Architecture and a Business minor. He has over 17 years of experience in the landscape industry, with a family background in home construction. Jeremy started out working on a crew as a landscape foreman for six years, which provided vital on-the-job training and knowledge.
He enjoys trying new and unique landscape techniques, and constructing hardscapes is one of his favorite parts of his landscape projects. Jeremy loves working with clients to help them turn their existing outdoor spaces into something they can really enjoy and be proud of. To be able to work with and listen to a client’s needs and wishes and create a vision. But the most gratifying part is being able to manage the project and turn the vision into reality.
Jeremy is a die-hard SDSU athletics fan (GO JACKS!). He has a wife and two children, and on his free-time he enjoys hunting, snow skiing, sports, home projects and spending time with his family.

Why do I like this business?
Creativity and problem solving are two key components, and there is always something new to learn about. I like meeting people and helping them come up with a design that reflects their lifestyle and personality, but also solves any challenges the property might impose. I really enjoy building and conceptualizing these spaces that will continue to grow and change as plant material matures. Landscape design is unique in that, you are essentially visualizing a plan that won’t fully materialize for a few years down the road. It really exercises our creativity and problem-solving skills every day.
